Universal Mount Heel Guards are suitable for bikes in which the STOCK heel guards are integrated as one piece with the rear-sets.
Stock guards on some models of bikes, such as the Suzuki Hayabusa, do not remove with 2 bolts. Check your individual bike to see how the stock guards attach.
Fitting our UNIVERSAL MOUNT Guards to bikes with integrated
heel guards requires the following:

The STOCK guards must be sheared off at the base where they attach to the rear-sets. Cutting the stock guards off in this manner should leave a relatively smooth & flush surface at the point where they were attached.

Into this resulting flat surface, you should tap 2 holes (size depends on the hardware you choose to use in attaching). You can then attach the Universal Mount guards using hardware of your choice (we recommend stainless steel hardware for its non-corroding properties.)
As with all our Heel Guards, Universal Mounts are CNC laser cut from 12 gauge material (with the exception of the right side guard on Honda CBR1000 & 600 which are 16 gauge, as dictated by the design of these models)
Sizes of guards vary somewhat depending on the design, but all are comparable to stock.
